The Knights of Columbus' Council 8684 was chartered at St. Mary's on May 1, 1984 and is located at 1414 Gorrell Street in Greensboro, NC. Our current Grand Knight is Chris Walson.
Our council members reach out to meet community needs through programs of charity
and service and deepen their faith through volunteerism. We give back to the community by putting our principles and ideals into action.
Council meetings are held the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Parish Center. You can contact us by navigating to our Contact page.
OUR 4 PRINCIPLES
Knights recognize that our mission, and faith in God, compels us to action. There is no better way to experience love and compassion than by helping those in need, a call we answer every day.
None of us is as good as all of us. Members of the Knights of Columbus all know that – together – we can accomplish far more than any of us could individually.
Venerable Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus, in large part, to provide assistance to the widows and children left behind when the family breadwinner died – often prematurely.
We are proud of our devotion to God and country, and believe in standing up for both. Whether it’s in public or private, the Knights remind the world that Catholics support their nations.
